Connect a New Website or Move Your WP Ghost Premium License

Connect new websites to your WP Ghost (formerly Hide My WP Ghost) Premium license from the WP Ghost Dashboard. Websites are counted across all your live licenses together. You can also remove a website to free up its place and connect a different site.
Connect a new website
Log in to your WP Ghost Dashboard and go to Subscriptions. Copy the Activation Token from your license card. Download the plugin zip file if you have not already.
Install the plugin on your WordPress site. When the activation panel appears, paste the Activation Token and click Activate. Your website automatically appears in Connected Sites in your account at account.hidemywpghost.com/user/connected.
Move a license to a different website
To move your license from one website to another, you need to remove the current site first, then activate on the new site.
Go to Connected Sites in your WP Ghost Dashboard. Click the delete button next to the website you want to remove. Its place in your license allowance is freed immediately.
Paths revert on the removed site
When you remove a website from your account, custom paths on that site revert to WordPress defaults. The plugin remains installed but deactivated. You need to reactivate WP Ghost on that site if you want to reconnect it later.
Now install and activate WP Ghost on the new website using the same Activation Token from your Subscriptions page.
Frequently asked questions
How many websites can I connect?
It depends on your licenses. Websites in use at the top of the Subscriptions page shows how many websites your licenses allow and how many are connected. You can upgrade to a higher plan if you need more sites.
Can I use the same activation token on multiple sites?
Yes. The same token works for all sites within your license limit. Each site you activate counts toward your total. When the limit is reached, you need to remove a site before adding a new one.
What happens to the old site when I move a license?
WP Ghost on the removed site asks to be connected again, and the site only comes back if someone activates it with a token. To keep the old site protected, reconnect it later or install the free version there.
Can I use the free version on sites that exceed my license limit?
Yes. The free version of WP Ghost (available on WordPress.org) works on unlimited sites. Use Premium licenses for sites that need Ghost Mode, geo-blocking and the other Premium features.
Does WP Ghost modify WordPress core files?
No. All path changes use rewrite rules and WordPress hooks. License activation connects to the WP Ghost Dashboard for cloud features. No core files are modified.
