Connect a New Website or Move Your WP Ghost Premium License

Connect new websites to your WP Ghost (formerly Hide My WP Ghost) Premium license from the WP Ghost Dashboard. Each license allows a specific number of connected sites. You can also remove a website to free up a license slot and move it to a different site.
Connect a New Website
Log in to your WP Ghost Dashboard and go to Orders / Licenses. Copy the Activation Token. Download the plugin zip file if you have not already.
Install the plugin on your WordPress site. When the activation panel appears, paste the Activation Token and click Activate. Your website automatically appears in the Connected Websites section of your account at account.hidemywpghost.com/user/auth/connected.
Move a License to a Different Website
To move your license from one website to another, you need to remove the current site first, then activate on the new site.
Go to Connected Websites in your WP Ghost Dashboard. Click the delete button next to the website you want to remove. The license is freed immediately.
Paths revert on the removed site
When you remove a website from your account, custom paths on that site revert to WordPress defaults. The plugin remains installed but deactivated. You need to reactivate WP Ghost on that site if you want to reconnect it later.
Now install and activate WP Ghost on the new website using the same Activation Token from your Orders / Licenses page.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many websites can I connect?
The number of connected websites depends on your license plan. Check your Orders / Licenses page for the site limit on your current plan. You can upgrade to a higher plan if you need more sites.
Can I use the same activation token on multiple sites?
Yes. The same token works for all sites within your license limit. Each site you activate counts toward your total. When the limit is reached, you need to remove a site before adding a new one.
What happens to the old site when I move a license?
Custom paths revert to WordPress defaults on the removed site. The plugin stays installed but is no longer connected to your account. Premium features are deactivated. The site is no longer protected by WP Ghost’s path security until you reconnect or install the free version.
Can I use the free version on sites that exceed my license limit?
Yes. The free version of WP Ghost (available on WordPress.org) works on unlimited sites with 115+ security features. Use Premium licenses for sites that need Ghost Mode, full logs, geo-blocking, and other Premium features.
Does WP Ghost modify WordPress core files?
No. All path changes use rewrite rules and WordPress hooks. License activation connects to the WP Ghost Dashboard for cloud features. No core files are modified.
