Integrating Brute Force Protection in Elementor Login Forms

Hide My WP Ghost offers a powerful tool to combat brute-force attacks on login forms. To enable this option on other forms, the [ hmwp_bruteforce ]
shortcode was created. This shortcode can be integrated into login forms created with popular page builders like Elementor, adding an extra layer of security by enabling reCaptcha.
Let’s see how to activate the Brute Force option in Hide My WP Ghost and add the [ hmwp_bruteforce ]
shortcode to your Elementor login form.
Step 1: Activate Brute Force Protection in Hide My WP Ghost
Before integrating the [ hmwp_bruteforce ]
shortcode, you need to ensure that Brute Force Protection is activated in Hide My WP Ghost.
Go to Hide My WP > Brute Force and enable the Brute Force Protection option.
This will activate the necessary features to protect your login forms from brute force attacks.
Step 2: Integrate the “hmwp_bruteforce
” Shortcode in Elementor Login Form
With Brute Force Protection activated, the next step is to add the [ hmwp_bruteforce ]
shortcode to your Elementor login form.
Create or Edit a Login Form with Elementor
- Open the page where you want to add the login form using Elementor.
- If you haven’t created a login form yet, you can use the Elementor Pro “Login” widget. Drag and drop the widget onto your desired section of the page.
Add the Shortcode to the Login Form:
- After adding the Login widget, go to the “Form Fields” section within the widget settings.
- You’ll need to add a new shortcode field and include the code
[ hmwp_bruteforce ]
(remove spaces from bracket).
